Dana Astrow
At 15, Dana Astrow was hired by a trendy clothing store in Westwood, California. She has been dedicated to the art of the sale and the power of branding ever since.
Dana began her professional career in the highly competitive New York film production industry. As a staff sales rep for HSI, Partners USA and Fahrenheit Films, she quickly established herself as one of the top sales people in the United States.
Attracted by the challenge of owning her own business, Dana partnered with Peter Zielger to form the independent sales firm Astrow-Ziegler. The company rapidly built an exemplary reputation and a blue-chip roster of film production, editorial and music companies, including Chelsea Pictures, Spot Welders, The End, and Steifel and Co.
After 4 highly successful years, Dana struck out on her own, creating Astrowgirl. The new company allowed her to maintain relationships with high-end companies including Epoch Films, Identity and Face the Music, while providing the platform for Dana to develop her own work on marketing and branding strategies.
In 2004 Dana and her family relocated to Los Angeles. There she began consulting with independent sales and production companies on the development of their sales and marketing capability. She also began working with individual artists and professionals, helping them develop their personal brand and then matching them to new opportunities.
Despite Dana’s instinctive ability to sell, her passion lies in creating lasting relationships. What sets her apart is her talent for recognizing the essence of a brand and then connecting it to its users in ways that are authentic to them.
Dana lives on a walk street in Venice with her husband, two daughters and their dog, Auggie.
