Jamie Gutfreund
Jamie has supported entrepreneurs and corporations in every phase of the business cycle from start-up to taking a company public.
Her insight, clarity and practical expertise allow her to focus business owners on their companies' purpose and then help them develop strategies that support that journey.
Jamie began her career in New York, developing corporate communications programs for Ernst & Whinney, Kidder Peabody and Lippincott and Margulies before accepting a client's invitation to work in the (then) new area of sports marketing. There she travelled the world on behalf of Audi, Mars and Frito-Lay, before ending the journey in London where she developed the integrated marketing group for Saatchi & Saatchi.
On her return to the U.S. she worked with Robert Riesenberg - a pioneer in product integration - to create branded programming for Campbell’s Soup, Clorox, Walt Disney, Universal and Paramount, before moving to LA to establish the company's West coast presence.
Jamie's exposure to innovative entrepreneurs deepened when she was asked to manage corporate relationships for legendary film producer Kathleen Kennedy, during which she came face to face with the possibilities of the nascent internet.
She was asked by Prodigy - then the largest online service - to open their LA office, and was then hired by Microsoft to develop programming and partnerships for the new MSN.com portal site, before joining Expedia and being part of their transition from private to public company.
Today, Jamie helps entrepreneurs through her private practice and in her newly established association with The Lookinglass Consultancy.
Jamie lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two children and her dogs Lucy and Wolfy.
